Sports Update
Volleyball season has just came to an end and track season is just now starting. Volleyball for all three grades was a success. The sixth grade girls had a fantastic season. They ended up going 3-0 in the Pana Tournament and winning the whole thing. The seventh grade girls ended their season with a Regional title beating Vandalia in two close sets. They got beat in Sectionals against a very good Staunton team. For the eighth grade girls volleyball team, they went the same way. They won Regionals, beating North Mac on their home court. They played Staunton in Sectionals and lost. Staunton’s volleyball team was very good and got third at State.
Now track season has arrived and the first meet is the 28th. There are five state qualifiers who are back this year trying to make another state appearance: Haden Stark, Bo Hilbert, John Miller, Max Lynch, and Anna Beyers. There are some new coaches and they too are wanting to take some kids to state. The coaches are Missy Ade, Denise Jones, Paul Donahue, and Mitch Cloe. They are very good coaches and are excited for the season.
