James Holzhauer, Jeopardy Wizard!
James Holzhauer: you may have heard of him as the guy that’s been winning a lot on “Jeopardy.” And that’s right, James is on to 23 wins on Jeopardy, and he is planning to beat Ken Jennings’ record, which was 74 wins. James is 35 years old, he is married, and has a daughter and was born in 1984 in Naperville, IL; he has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, from which he graduated in 2005.
James was on a show before “Jeopardy” called “The Chase” a few years back. He has won 22 wins in a row and had 1.7 million on his 20th episode. He said his dream job would be would be front office of a baseball team because he is so good with numbers. James once read a book called Secrets of the Buzzer and he practiced buzzing before he went on Jeopardy, so now he can hit that buzzer as fast as lightning. When he plays on Jeopardy he starts at the bottom of the board so that he can get a lot of money, then he gambles it when it’s Double Jeopardy. James was on The MLB show and they asked him some difficult questions, but he was able to answer them. James used to played online poker all the time when he was in college in his free time. James’s talents are his speed, gambling guts, brains, starting at the bottom, and his intelligence. All of those things are why James Holzhauer gets win after win.
