The Spring Turn (Poem)

The Spring Turn

So it turns from night to day

And the tides begin to wash away

All the remnants of the past

While it all happens so very fast

On the first day of Spring

Flowers are blooming

And the sun isn’t looming

The birds are chirping

While nobody is working

On the first day of Spring break

With the kids at play

And the guards at bay

Or the choir bells singing

Under the church bells ringing

On a beautiful Spring morn
