An Introduction to KPop

Pop music is a thing, but have you ever heard of KPop? Well, if you haven’t, you’re in for a treat. KPop is a genre of popular music originating in South Korea. Many Americans don’t listen to KPop because they can’t understand Korean, which that makes sense, but in all in all, it’s enjoyable to listen to.

There are many different types of KPop bands. One of the biggest KPop bands of all time has to be the boy band known as BTS. There are also girl and boy bands with different and unique names. Here are a few of KPop bands that you can go ahead and check out…

BTS - BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment. Just last week (April 13th), they were on Saturday Night live and killed it!!!

EXO - EXO is a South Korean–Chinese boy band based in Seoul, with nine members. The band was formed by SM Entertainment in 2011 and debuted in 2012.

SHINee - Shinee is a South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2008. The group's musical impact in their native country has earned them numerous accolades and the title "Princes of K-pop".

KPop is the second biggest type of music in the world, even though it's a different language. It’s alright. You don’t have to like it, but try to listen to it; it could possibly be a new taste of music you’ll enjoy.
